Fresh Starts

This Easter weekend, I’m thinking less about chocolate and more about fresh starts.
Spring, renewal, new beginnings - whatever you call it, there’s something about this time of year that invites us to ask:
“What do I want to carry forward… and what am I ready to leave behind?”
In my work with leaders, I’ve realized that the most powerful “new beginnings” rarely come from a fresh calendar year. They come from a moment of honest clarity:
- When you finally name the conversation you’ve been avoiding.
- When you choose to protect your energy instead of proving your worth.
- When you decide that alignment matters more than just momentum.
This isn’t about “start‑over” guilt or New Year‑style pressure.
It’s about gentle recalibration:
- What are you finally ready to release this spring?
- What one small commitment are you ready to make - less to everyone else, more to your own clarity and integrity?
If you like, you can borrow this simple check‑in as a personal “Easter reflection”:
- One thing I’m letting go of.
- One decision I’m finally making.
- One relationship or boundary I’m honouring differently.
You don’t need a big announcement.
You just need one small step that feels like a truer version of you.
So wherever you are this weekend - church, kitchen table, quiet walk, or your home office - give yourself a moment:
Pause, breathe, and ask:
“What new beginning feels right for me right now?”
If you’re comfortable, drop one of your three answers in the comments. I’ll be here to cheer you on.
